About us

Why MamaGLP exists

A warm, judgment-free first step into GLP-1s, for moms who don't even know where to begin.

This is the moment we built this for: it's late, the kids are finally asleep, and you type “semaglutide” into the search bar for the tenth time — only to run into thirty nearly identical ads shouting at each other. That is not help. MamaGLP is the calm alternative: the basics in plain words, written in Spanish and English, that treats you like the smart woman with a full life that you are, and not like a customer to convert.

How we rank providers

Instead of a spreadsheet with thirty identical options, we point you toward one honest first step and give every provider a score out of 100 with the Mama-Match Score — six weighted factors built around someone who is only just starting out, led by how gentle and honest the starting point is. We hold everyone to the same yardstick. A provider that pays us can earn more prominence, never a higher score; we keep those two things separate on purpose and explain the whole arrangement in our funding disclosure.

Who writes and reviews this

MamaGLP is written by Camila Rael, our editor. Camila Rael is the editor of MamaGLP, and she writes in a warm, bilingual voice for moms who are just getting to know GLP-1s. Camila writes as a mom, not as a health professional who treats you; nothing here is medical advice. Every guide is checked against primary research and the official label before it is published.

We do not have a clinical reviewer on the team, and we are not going to invent one: a name you cannot verify is worth less than a source you can open. What we do instead is cite every medical claim to its clinical trial or to the FDA label, with the link right there, so that checking it does not depend on trusting us.

MamaGLP is informational only and is not a medical provider — nothing here is medical advice (see our medical disclaimer). Want to talk to a real person? Write to us at hello@mamaglp.com.
