Head to head for first-timers

CoreAge Rx vs Medsol RX

CoreAge Rx and Medsol RX both offer GLP-1 telehealth, but they make different trade-offs on how gentle the start is, honest pricing, real support and access. Here they are side by side on the Mama-Match Score — our first-timer rubric.

The verdict for a first step

Higher Mama-Match Score: CoreAge Rx

CoreAge Rx edges out Medsol RX on the Mama-Match Score, 94 to 53 (A vs C). Moms who want a clear, honest first step — a real clinician instead of a questionnaire, a flat price, and the freedom to pause when life needs you to.

Medsol RX is still a genuine option — three pages of the same site give three different prices for the same thing. The homepage says semaglutide starts at $169 a month. The packages page shows $169 for the first month and $199 from the second. And the semaglutide page says the program costs "$200-$550 per month", a figure nothing else comes near. The packages page is the good one: I checked its six totals and every one is exact. And then there are the tablet cards, which say what arrives is tirzepatide. Weigh the six first-timer factors below against your own priorities.

Mama-Match

CoreAge Rx

Rank #1 · Grade A

What we like

  • One flat monthly price, with no teaser rate that jumps after the first month — you know the number before you commit
  • A clinician reads your history and will genuinely talk timing with you if you're postpartum, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive
  • Semaglutide and tirzepatide in one account, so you and a clinician can choose — and switch — without starting over

The caveats

  • Not the rock-bottom teaser price — a couple of marketplaces dangle a lower first-month number
  • Compounded medication only, not FDA-approved brand-name Ozempic or Wegovy
  • A general metabolic program, not a dedicated OB-GYN or hormone consult

Mama-Match

Medsol RX

Rank #178 · Grade C

What we like

  • A real month-to-month path exists and they publish it rather than hiding it under the plans
  • The six plan totals come out exact to the dollar
  • Prices both molecules separately, plus a tablet option and brand-name pens

The caveats

  • ⛔ Three pages, three semaglutide prices, and the highest is a $550 the plans never reach
  • The advertised $169 lasts one month; from the second it is $199
  • ⛔ The tablet plan cards say what you receive is tirzepatide
